AllSports was contracted by the Radisson Hotel in Jacksonville, Florida, to create temporary slips for their special yachting guests during the spectacular known as Super Bowl XXXIX.  Located on the scenic St. John’s River, the Radisson Hotel was the perfect facility to attach our ramps making the temporary marinas accessible to their special guests. With 4-knot currents running both directions, and the river 40’ deep in places, we constructed two fully functioning marinas, both with electric (110/220), lighting, and water, where there had never been a marina before. Both marinas accommodated sportfishing boats, motoryachts and megayachts during the week long festivities. The eyes of the football world were upon us and the marinas we created from scratch were the common background for photographs by thousands of people and a place for the worldwide media to interview the celebrities in town for the game.  What took almost two weeks to build, both marinas were completely dismantled within two days after the game. We are proud of this accomplishment as there hadn’t ever been a marina facility at the Radisson’s beautiful downtown waterfront location, not to mention we created two facilities, before we created ours, and hasn’t been done since.
